Dr Garret is affiliated with the Mater Hospital North Queensland as a General Dental Practitioner (Paediatric) where he performs complex paediatric restorative and surgical dental procedures under general anaesthetic.

For anxious patients preferring treatment in chair, he performs procedures under relative analgesia (happy gas).

Dr Garret is a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD Queensland), the International Association of Paediatric Dentistry (IAPD), the Australian Society of Special Care in Dentistry (ASSCID), and the Australian Dental Association Queensland (ADAQ).
